Ventilation systems in older hatcheries typically struggle to provide the air volumes required to incubate today’s larger eggs, or cope efficiently with modern single-stage incubation systems. And hatcheries looking to expand production capacity will often find that enlarging existing ventilation systems and ducting can prove problematic and may involve expensive hatchery down time.
This dilemma led to the development of the first ‘standalone’ hatchery ventilation systems and now EmTech has now taken the development of such ventilation solutions to the next level with a packaged and pre-assembled ventilation system.
EnviroTech offers all the necessary services to supply setters and hatchers, hatching up to 1.3 million chicks per week. The system provides setters and hatchers with air volumes of up to 12 cubic metres per second, chilled water and hot water where needed, with the added advantage of heat recovery gathered from the warm water return lines.
The company said there were many new features that made the system unique, including the inclusion of a spacious integral plant room. This allows ease of maintenance, a comfortable working environment, and easy access to system pumps, glycol top-up, system valves, plate heat exchanger, boilers and controls. Another important feature is the multi-fan design and extra stand-by pumps.
The EnviroTech unit is designed to stand outside the hatchery. It has a rugged cabinet build with a profiled roof to withstand the harshest of weather conditions.
