Clive Soanes Broilers’ farm manager, Graham Bell has been awarded the Aviagen’s UK Ross 450 Club award that recognises the achievements of Ross broiler flock poultry farmers who have reached a European Production Efficiency Factor (EPEF) of 450 or more.
EPEF is an internationally recognised measure of recording flock results. It takes into account the feed conversion ratio of the birds, overall weight compared to age and other factors.
“We’re delighted that Graham’s achievements have earned him this well-deserved award that puts him up there alongside other distinguished growers in the 450 Club’s elite of British growers,” said Clive Soanes Broilers’ managing director, Claire Wright.
“He has worked incredibly hard, paying attention to every detail of rearing to achieve this level of performance and high levels of animal welfare.”
Clive Soanes Broilers is the growing arm of Soanes Poultry and is a family-owned business that was founded by Tom Soanes in 1947.
