Moy Park recently celebrated its top performing broiler growers at the annual Ross 420 Club Awards in Dunsilly Hotel, Antrim.
The 420 Club Awards recognises growers for achieving a European Production Efficiency Factor (EPEF) of 420 or more, an industry wide benchmark used to measure mortality, weight gain and feed conversion amongst flocks.
In total 115 growers who supply Moy Park achieved the standard over a six-month period with the top result recognised as 458 and several growers achieving EPEFs of more than 420 on three consecutive flocks.
At the event, Kieron Daniels, technical service manager for broilers at Aviagen shared insights with attendees on the topic of broiler water management before the awards presentation.
“Our congratulations go to each of the growers who have achieved this level of success. It is truly a testament to the passion and dedication they have shown, leading by example for the rest of the industry,” said Daniels.
Reflecting on the achievements, Andrew Patterson, Area Manager at Moy Park, said, “This recognition is a testament to the skill and attention to detail provided by our growers in managing their flocks and working together with the Moy Park team to maximise the potential and efficiencies of their flocks.”
