Aviagen and Moy Park have teamed up to meet broiler producers in a series of events in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The ‘broiler road show’ follows a similar breeder seminar that took place in October. Moy Park is distributor of Aviagen’s Ross parent stock.
Speakers from Aviagen gave presentations to 120 attendees on the latest broiler trends, as well as best management practices for ventilation, lighting and biosecurity.
Stuart Thomson, Aviagen’s head of UK sales and technical, reported that he and the team especially appreciated the openness of participants in giving their feedback on their individual experiences. “Each time we engage with Moy Park customers, we gain a greater insight into how best to tailor our support to help them maximise performance, while increasing the health and welfare of their birds.”
Euan Meldrum, Moy Park sales manager said: “The Aviagen team did a great job of supporting us and our customers in the market, and the broiler road show provides an ideal opportunity to share knowledge and best practice, as well as the chance to meet other growers. Moy Park is committed to industry leading agriculture excellence and events like this form part of our strategy to offer support and guidance to our customers, so they can achieve the best performance possible, as well as an understanding of what to expect from the Ross 308 going forward.”
