A new modular grading system has hit the market, and enables efficient grading of variable or random fed products, according to its manufacturer
Interfood’s Sparc Systems Maxi has been designed to accurately weigh a variety of food products in a range of different sizes and weights as they are transported across a single weigh-conveyor.
Central to the system is patented technology with fully interchangeable beds. This contributes to high standards of food hygiene because it ensures that there are no exposed cables. Cleaning is quick and easy, as is maintenance and inspection, requiring no tools and there’s simple ‘lift-off’ access to the underside of the conveyor and drive areas.
The ergonomic, modular design is robust and easy to operate, according to the company, and complies with all factory personnel and food handling safety requirements. It offers speeds of up to 200ppm and is designed to meet specific customer requirements to maximise efficiency and cost savings.
A significant contributor to these savings is the system’s all-electric operation. No compressed air is required and this reduces the cost of operation.
