International Water Systems (IWS) has launched a new semi-automatic flushing system for drinker lines in poultry houses.
Combined with the use of a suitable water treatment, the product should reduce bacteria growth and bio film build up, and mortality rates, the company said. This in turn could have positive knock on effects for growth rates and feed conversion efficiency.
The flushing system was developed in early 2018 and has been trialled by various poultry integrators who work with IWS’s water treatment systems. “Many reported an almost instant positive effect on production and all said that it was a simple system to use,” said a company spokesman.
