Cabinplant has launched a new multi batcher for poultry processing, which it claims offers reduced giveaway and lower labour costs.
The equipment offers “automatic high-speed weighing and batching of large poultry meat portions,” the company said.
Weighing and handling of portion sizes up to 35 kilos, Cabinplant said it was the first batcher to be based on ‘combinatorial’ weighing, meaning significantly less giveaway compared to other systems, as well as greater flexibility on the production line.
The system automatically weighs fresh or individually-quick-frozen poultry, ranging from whole chickens to various cuts, into partial portions. These are then selected in the ideal combination to create the optimum batch weight.
The solution is tailor-made, based on product size and batch size, according to customers’ requests and is available either as a stand-alone unit for automatic or manual bagging, box packing or filling into thermoformed packages, or as part of a complete line.
