Noble Foods is supplying free-range eggs to schools across the country as part of its partnership with children’s charity Magic Breakfast.
The charity wants to end hunger as a barrier to learning. Noble Foods is supplying happy egg co. eggs to the charity’s partner schools. It is the first time that eggs are included in the Magic Breakfast provision.
Initially supplying 30 schools, Noble Foods said it would like to roll this initiative out to more schools later this year. “We unanimously agreed that a nutritious breakfast and the ability to learn were two causes of great importance to all of us,” said Duncan Everett, chief executive of Noble Foods.
Everett and some of his colleagues a Noble Foods recently helped serve breakfast at one school. In addition to cereals, toast and baked beans, they served boiled ‘dippy eggs’ to the children.
“We are so lucky to now be able to offer eggs to our children and they enjoy this added addition to the breakfast and the added variety it provides,” a representative from one of the partner schools said.
