Noble Foods has appointed a chef, David Parker, as part of the company’s marketing and innovation team.
In his new role as commercial development chef, Parker will be responsible for developing egg-based products to expand Noble Foods’ out-of-home range.
“This is a very exciting time to join Noble Foods and to be thinking beyond shell egg,” he said. “The company has a rich history and presence in the sector, and now is the time to look at the future and explore how Noble Foods can add value to egg.”
Parker previously worked at Cargill and Kerry Foods, and most recently taught at Brompton Cookery School, where he taught Indian and Asian cuisine. Prior to that he led foodservice projects for Tesco and Compass Food Group, alongside Ken Hom and Allegra McEvedy.
“There is a huge opportunity for the business in the out-of-home category and through David’s appointment, we hope to tap into this to find new and innovative ways to use the humble egg,” said Laura Sheard, marketing and innovation director at Noble Foods.
