Defra has announced several avian influenza surveillance zones and protection zones have been revoked, following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zones.
The surveillance zone declared on 19 January around a premises near Attleborough, Norfolk has been revoked. Local movement restrictions have now been removed but the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) measures remain in place.
Separately, the protection zone surrounding both the premises near Exmouth, East Devon, Devon have been revoked and the areas merged with the surveillance zone.
In addition, the surveillance zone around a premises near Gillingham, North Dorset, Dorset has been revoked. Local movement restrictions have now been removed but the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) measures remain in place.
