Wrexham council will vote today on whether to allow Aviagen to build six turkey rearing sheds with feeding silos and a new access road.
Council bosses are recommending the plans be approved, which will allow the firm to house an additional 36,000 birds.
Some local concerns have been raised over animal welfare noise, pollution, smell and the impact on the environment and traffic.
Wrexham council’s head of planning and the environment, Lawrence Isted, said: “I am satisfied that the applicant has provided a reasoned and robust justification for proposing this isolated.”
