Aldi is recalling Roosters Breaded Chicken Goujons because salmonella has been detected in the product.
The affected products are those with the batch codes 20300B and 20323B with best before dates of October 2021 and November 2021.
It is the latest processed chicken product that has been found to have salmonella. Earlier this year, the Food Standards Agency issued a warning for consumers to take care when preparing and cooking frozen raw breaded chicken products at home, such as nuggets, goujons, dippers, poppers and kievs, following two ongoing outbreaks of Salmonella Enteritidis.
