Poultry producers and other industry stakeholders are being invited to take part in an event on 12 October to discuss the sector’s ambitions for net zero.
In the run up to the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (COP26) in November, a group of rural organisations including the NFU and AHDB have organised a Countryside COP, to discuss the contributions already being made to tackle climate change.
The NFU is inviting people in the poultry industry to take part in a combination of presentations and discussions, held during an all-day poultry event, which will provide an opportunity to show leadership as a sector and will feed into recommendations for achieving net zero to COP26.
It will recognise both the progress already made in the sector and the challenges still to overcome.
This will be a hybrid event, with the opportunity to attend in person or virtually. When registration opens you will be able to select your preference, but please note that in-person attendance may be limited.
