BFREPA has reluctantly called off its 2020 conference and awards dinner.
The producers’ association representing free range egg producers said it had become increasingly clear COVID-19 restrictions were likely to restrict the possibility large gatherings for many months to come. Therefore it said it had taken the difficult decision to cancel its Free Range Awards Dinner and Conference for 2020, which was due to take place from 30 September to 1 October.
“Organising an event of this scale takes a huge amount of resources, which has to start several months in advance, and our exhibitors also need prompt notification to ensure they don’t start to incur costs, so we are making this announcement as early as possible,” said a spokesman. “While it is disappointing to have to cancel, we will shortly announce a date for the biggest and best conference and awards dinner ever in 2021.”
