Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs has reported annual sales of £25.3 million in the year ending 30 June 2023, a 25% increase on the previous year.
Profit before tax also rose substantially to £1.79 million during the same period. The previous year, pre-tax profits were recorded as £152,000.
The family run business grades, packs and sells eggs. It is owned by the Potter family and is lead by director Adrian Potter.
The company said the main risks facing its business were avian influenza and its associated impacts, such as having to market free range eggs as barn eggs. In addition, it said being able to meet the demands of customers, both in terms of demand and price was another risk it faced, but it had mitigated this by having a broad customer base.
