Alex Kemp is the latest recruit to join the team as a poultry nutritionist at Premier Nutrition, the specialist livestock premix and advisory division of AB Agri.
Following an eight-year university stint split between both Nottingham universities, Kemp holds a PhD in improving the skeletal health of laying hens, and also holds three degrees covering animal sciences and nutrition.
In his new role he will make recommendations and advice to poultry producers and feed compounders on premix and flock dietary requirements.
“As a poultry nutritionist I will be consulting with customers on the nutritional needs of their birds while assisting in the development of nutritional plans, to ensure the feed formulation adopted matches the needs of the particular system.”
“Having been closely involved with Premier during the completion of my PhD, I jumped at the chance to work with a team that’s so well respected and holds such a wealth of nutritional expertise.”
“I’ve really expanded the depth of my knowledge during my time at university and I’m looking forward to putting it into practice and commercial use, to further develop my expertise,” he said.
