Anton de Weerd is to step down as Marel Poultry’s executive vice president on 1 September and will be replaced with Roger Claessens, currently director of innovation. de Weerd, who has been with Marel for 37 years, will take on a new as yet unspecified role within Marel.
Claessens, who is 43 years old and lives in Malden, the Netherlands, has been with Marel for 18 years. He has been in the role as director of innovation over the past five years.
