The NFU has announced the appointment of Aimee Mahony as chief poultry adviser.
She has worked in the NFU’s poultry team for four years, and has a further four years’ worth of experience in the commercial egg sector before joining the NFU.
She began in the role on July 13 following her predecessor Gary Ford’s move to the NFU’s East Anglia region as regional director.
Aimee said: “I’m delighted to be taking the reigns on this exciting role, and eager to begin work to steer the focus and leadership in the poultry sector at such a critical time.
“My first task will be to begin recruiting my own successor and I look forward to welcoming a new face to the poultry team in the coming weeks.”
