Workers at 2 Sisters Food Group in the West Midlands are planning a demonstration today in West Bromwich as part of a dispute over terms and conditions.
The union Unite claims there have been numerous changes to terms and conditions over the past two months and accused management of behaving like ‘tin pot dicators’.
In protest, workers plan to gather outside the Tesco store in New Square because it is a major customer of 2 Sisters, to highlight what they claim is unfair treatment.
One of the workers’ grievances is the alleged use of CCTV and audio recording equipment in plants which they claim violates their privacy.
“We hope that the employer is prepared to engage at the highest levels with its loyal and hardworking workforce to find pragmatic solutions to the important issues we have raised,” said Unite acting national officer Sulinder Singh.
