Egg business Noble Foods has reported an annual loss after taxation of £11.7 million and turnover of £290.3 million in the year to 29 September 2023.
The company said it represented the results of a challenging year where the business has been exposed to significant cost inflation and disruption to the supply base against a volatile macro-economic environment.
Last year, Noble Foods reported a loss of £13.5 million and a turnover of £269.1 million.
The business employed 602 people during the year. The remuneration of the highest paid director was £1.13 million.
The annual accounts detail that Noble Foods acquired the trade and assets of Wot-A-Pullet in August 2023. The business, which rears laying pullets, was bought for £647,000.
