Business and industry leaders in Vietnam will be treated to a taste of poultry from Poland tomorrow lunchtime (Nov 3) as a key focus of this week’s EU export trade mission to the country, led by European farm commissioner, Phil Hogan.
Following on from a morning business seminar in Hanoi, the EU party will host 100 Vietnamese officials and business stakeholders for a high profile buffet lunch based on chicken dishes.
Staging a cooking show with the title “European poultry – The power of quality”, the EU initiative is being run in cooperation with the Polish national poultry council, Krajowa Rada Drobiarstwa (KRD).
The council, which was established in 1998, states its aims as assisting the further development and modernisation of Poland’s poultry industry, protecting the interests of the country’s poultry farmers and poultry meat processors and representing the industry both domestically and in international markets.
With a membership of more than 60 businesses, KRD speaks for 80% of Poland’s poultry production and processing industry.
