Munters Group, a global leader in energy efficient air treatment and climate solutions, has announced the acquisition of Atlanta-based MTech Systems, a company specialising in software systems for poultry and pig production.
The acquisition of MTech will transform Munters’ offering through the use of advanced data analytics, the firm said. By combining the expertise and solutions of the two companies, Munters will now be able to provide full control of the supply chain for poultry and swine production.
“Munters is heavily involved in ensuring that people get food on the table, by controlling the climate in installations all around the world. Combining Munters’ climate control systems on farms and in factories with MTech’s planning and optimisation software will bring a new level of intelligence and increase the ability to connect all parts of the supply-chain for poultry and swine production”, said Munters’ Peter Gisel-Ekdahl,
“As the traditional lines between hardware and software have begun to disappear, we see Munters as the perfect partner with which to continue to innovate and adapt on behalf of our clients. Munters’ global footprint will also allow us to better service both our domestic and international client base”, said Mike Walker, president and chief executive MTech.
