The Brazilian food company, JBS, which bought the Northern Ireland poultry company, Moy Park, last year, is now set to move its parent company to Dublin.
Often quoted as the world’s largest meat producer, JBS recently filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in New York, detailing its Irish plans.
In addition to a massive global commitment to its beef business, JBS US holds a controlling 75.5% stake in Pilgrim’s, the chicken business which claims to supply one in five of all the chicken produced in the US.
The new SEC move revealed an intention by JBS for its new Irish structure to be listed on the New York stock exchange.
