Food supply chain logistics firm Fowler Welch and Bernard Matthews have extended their long-term partnership with additional services and volume.
Norwich-based Bernard Matthews has committed to a new two-year warehousing and distribution contract and increased the volume of products that will be handled by Fowler Welch by 50%. The deal comes after the chicken and turkey specialist won a new supply contract with one of the UK’s largest retailers.
Jim Seymour, Spalding general manager at Fowler Welch said: “We have had a long-standing relationship with Bernard Matthews and have a deep understanding of the business and its supply chain needs. So, we were able to respond and adapt our existing arrangements to deliver the right solution to help them meet the requirements of this new and exciting contract.”
Nck Hay, Fowler Welch chief executive added: “The recently completed £2 million investment programme to develop our temperature-controlled depot in Spalding, was a key factor in helping us secure this deal.”
