Noble Foods has appointed two new non-executive directors to its board, as the UK’s biggest egg business looks to broaden its advisory panel.
Mallika Basu and Anwar Sultan will join family-owned Noble Foods in November 2023 and February 2024 respectively, both bringing experience in marketing, commercial and digital to the company.
Mallika Basu, a communications and strategy advisor will join in November, having most recently led on the 2030 strategy for London’s iconic Borough Market.
“It’s an exciting time to be joining Noble Foods, as the company looks to further drive its commercial growth,” said Basu. “Among many things, I hope to bring my passion and knowledge of the food, drink, and hospitality industries to contribute to Noble Foods’ commitment to quality and sustainability. As we navigate major cultural shifts, I also look forward to championing diversity, equality and inclusion to ensure a robust foundation for the company’s continued success.”
In February 2024, Anwar Sultan will also join the board. Sultan, who has a wealth of knowledge in leveraging technology, data, and marketing, has another role as chief growth and commercial officer at The Modern
Milkman.

The two new appointments follow the 2022 expansion of the Noble Foods’ Board, when former Co-op Group chief executive Steve Murrells joined the company, working with with chair, Sarah Dean, and chief executive Duncan Everett

The board of Noble Foods is led by chair and owner, Sarah Dean, who took over the leadership of the family-firm in 2019.
