Yorkshire business Soanes Poultry has achieved top marks in its BRCGS audit.
During the recent audit, the team at the Middleton on the Wolds business gained AA grade status against Issue 9 of the BRCGS certification programme, which is globally recognised as a benchmark for food safety management systems and best practice for product safety and quality.
Soanes Poultry’s head of technical, Diana May, said: “Congratulations to the team for the part that they have played in the successful AA grade. This result was achieved because of everyone’s hard work and our constant year-on-year improvements, which means our customers can have complete confidence in all of our products.
“As our business continues to grow, BRCGS is a vital accreditation for underlining our reliability to potential customers and demonstrates that we are achieving the highest standards of safety, quality and legal compliance.”
In addition to the BRCGS success, family-owned Soanes Poultry was also awarded gold stars for four of its chicken products in the recent Great Taste Awards.
