Turkey company KellyBronze has welcomed the opportunity to meet customers at the Scottish Craft Butchers Trade Fair at Perth for first time since covid, which took place on 14 May.
“We supply more than 60 butchers across the country,” said Ally Monk, who heads Kelly Turkeys in Scotland. “The trade fair was a good event, well attended, and it great to see many of our existing customers again and meet some potential new ones.”
Magbiehill Farm at Stewarton, near Kilmarnock, rears more than 4,000 KellyBronze turkeys for Christmas and has also developed trade directly with the public, with around 250 customers each year collecting from the farm.
The farm also has a flock of 5,000 breeding turkeys supplying eggs to the Kelly hatchery in Danbury, Essex, and then receiving day-old poults to rear for the Christmas market.
