BASF has announced the withdrawal of its difenacoum rodenticide range including Neosorexa and Sorexa D products later this year.
The pest control manufacturer has made the decision not to apply to re-authorise the difenacoum based products after launching its new rodenticides Storm Ultra and Selontra.
“We will focus on further developing our offer around the most potent anticoagulant flocoumafen, and the highly effective alternative to anticoagulants, cholecalciferol,” said Laurence Barnard, country business manager for BASF’s professional & specialty solutions.
Products containing the second-generation, anticoagulant active substance difenacoum made by BASF will begin the phaseout throughout 2023. This includes products such as Neosorexa Gold, Neosorexa Gold Ratpacks, Neosorexa Bait Blocks, and Sorexa D.
The last sales start in August 2023 and last use and disposal will be up to May 2024.
