2 Sisters has formed a partnership with Leeds University and has welcomed Daniel Gilson who has joined the Agriculture team on secondment from the university for 12 months.
Bringing together agriculture, commercial, academia and innovation, Daniel Gilson will provide analytical expertise, whilst developing commercial awareness and understanding skills in the 2 Sisters team.
Nick Davies, Group Agriculture Director, said: “This partnership will provide an understanding of what drives business performance. The excellent facilities and expertise at Leeds University will provide 2 Sisters with the ability to predict and react to business challenges and opportunities with enhanced confidence.
“The secondment will add dedicated in house, high calibre skill sets to the heart of everything we do and offer a point of difference in truly understanding the correlations between farm, processing, optimal welfare, sustainability and value opportunities.
“This will enable us to nurture the next generation of agri food professionals and deliver an agriculture offering that is truly industry leading.”
