A fire broke out at Bernard Matthews’ poultry processing headquarters in Norfolk last weekend.
The company, which last week relaunched its Turkey Twizzler products, said production had been halted all this week,
A spokeswoman said supplies to customers would be unaffected and production would begin again on Thursday.
“We can confirm fire crews attended an incident in one of our buildings at our Great Witchingham poultry processing facility shortly after 11am on August 22nd.
“A fire was discovered in our plant room, which is a separate building to the main production area. Thankfully the fire service responded promptly and worked hard to contain and extinguish the fire. No-one was injured and investigations will now begin to establish the fire’s cause.
“Production will recommence tomorrow, but a small percentage of products will need to be diverted to other locations. Supplies to customers should be unaffected.”
