Huvepharma has received European approval for Monimax, its anticoccidial product for use in broiler, layer and turkey diets.
Monimax is a combination of the synthetic nicarbazin and the ionophore monensin. The two active compounds work synergistically to deliver results far greater than either component in isolation, Huvepharma said.
Microgranulation, the process used in the Monimax manufacturing process, ensures that the active ingredients and the carrier are inseparably combined in the granules. This eliminates the risk of segregation and enables more accurate dosing for each animal.
Better coccidiosis control is directly linked to better gut health and improved litter quality which results in higher welfare standards and fewer incidences of foot pad dermatitis.
