Eight Fairburn’s Eggs lorry trailers have been given a colourful new paint job to say a very public thank you to the NHS and key workers for their vital efforts during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The trailers, which will deliver eggs to food retailers across the UK from Fairburn’s Burgh Le Marsh distribution hub, have been emblazoned with a 2.6m high rainbow thank you message to commend the work of the NHS – and hopefully bring a smile to everyone they pass.
Daniel Fairburn, chief executive of Fairburn’s Eggs, said: “We wanted to show how grateful we are to the health care and key workers, and as we were due to brand some of our white trailers, we thought this would be the perfect way to say thank you. It’s also a way to show our own staff, who have been helping to feed the nation through this difficult time, how appreciative we are for their amazing commitment and dedication.
“We’ve seen a huge demand for our eggs since lockdown began, as people have obviously been at home with more time for baking and cooked breakfasts. Our team has risen to the challenge and helped us deliver millions of eggs every week to supermarkets. We hope our new trailers will provide some cheer, and make NHS staff and key workers proud.”
