Egg processors Bumble Hole Foods has begun construction of a new factory extension at its Bromsgrove site. The firm, which produces liquid egg, boiled egg and egg mayonnaise, said the 7,500 square foot state of the art unit is expected to be finished by January 2019, and will house leading edge technology, enabling it to produce longer life hard boiled egg and egg mayonnaise, as well as scrambled egg, egg blends, retail products, together with new further processed egg products.
“This will enable us to offer new packaging formats, reducing plastic usage as a reduction of energy use and our carbon footprint. The investment will create new jobs and is a continuation of our ongoing growth strategy. We were able to secure grant funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and we thank them for their support,” said the company.
