Red Tractor week is running between 11-17 September, and is aiming to raise awareness of the importance of Red Tractor standards, which include measures on animal welfare, food safety, traceability and environmental protection
The year, the event is focussing on a different product each day, and is encouraging producers to share stories of their products on social media. The week kicked off on Monday with a focus on poultry with blog posts about duck, chicken and turkey.
Blog posts on the Red Tractor website shared stories of how Gressingham in East Anglia produces its famous duck products, along with duck recipes and an interview with Ian Rix, a Red Tractor duck farmer.
The rest of the week will focus on different food sectors, with the aim of promoting the value of the Red Tractor logo on packs.
