The egg recipes instagram account has broken the 20,000 followers mark, following the success of the first British Lion eggs pop up café last week and promotion of a series of short egg recipe videos. More than 2,600 consumers discovered the account in January alone.
With standing room only at the opening of the British Lion eggs Sunny Side Up pop up café (24-25 January), and the launch of the #HealthyEggMeals campaign for 2017, there has been a wealth of exciting content for egg fans to engage with.
Celebrity #HealthyEggMeals ambassadors Helen Skelton and Simon Rimmer, who opened the café, posted on social media live from the launch, and long-standing egg ambassador Lucy Mecklenburgh also posted, reaching more than 1.4m people.
Top bloggers also helped share egg recipes in January. Sarka Babicka, who has 142,000 followers, ran two instagram photography workshops during the event, sharing updates with followers online. Attendees also posted photos of their egg dishes and photos with Simon Rimmer on social media. Natalie Glaze shared a #healthyeggmeal recipes on her blog and on her social channels reaching 20,000 consumers. Natalie also dedicated her Instagram story for an entire day to teach her followers how to cook her recipe. The instagram story received over 2,200 views in 24 hours.
