Scottish producer, James Baxter, was confirmed today as the new chairman of the British Free Range Egg Producers Association (BFREPA).
Mr Baxter (pictured above) from Glenhead Farm, near Stranraer, Dumfriesshire, was appointed during the opening session of today’s annual BFREPA conference in Birmingham. He replaces Shropshire producer, Myles Thomas, who has served the last two years as Association chairman.
BFREPA’s new vice-chairman is Kent farmer, Doug Wanstall, who has in excess of 160,000 free range hens across a number of counties. He replaces Mr Baxter, who previously held the vice chairman’s role.
