Eating an egg a day has been linked with a 12% reduction in the risk of having a stroke, according to new research findings published by the American College of Nutrition.
The researchers also concluded that consuming up to one egg per day had no association with coronary heart disease.
The findings are the result of a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies dating from 1982 to 2015, which evaluated relationships between egg intake and coronary heart disease, looking at a total of 276,000 people.
