The National Farmers’ Union (NFU) has followed up its earlier “member impact” comments relating to the sale of the Bernard Matthews business by posting a “private” briefing for affected producers on its website.
The new listing addresses FAQs from union members in the wake of the Bernard Matthews sale announcement, which revealed the iconic turkey business has been sold to Boparan Private Office, which is a private investment vehicle of Ranjit Singh Boparan, who owns the 2 Sisters Food Group.
The NFU listing is available only for viewing by union members.
